Kentucky Division Staff Biographies

LTJG Clark joined the Kentucky Division in March of 2015 right after his oldest son joined. LTJG Clark served 6 years in the Navy on active duty as an Aviation Electronics Technician working on the F/A-18 Hornet and in the reserves as a Hospital Corpsman.  He is a retired firefighter/paramedic and currently teaches EMT/Paramedic classes. LTJG Clark also serves as the Medical Officer for the unit.

LT Shannon Montgomery, NSCC

LT Shannon Montgomery has been enrolled as an adult volunteer in the Sea Cadet program since 2009, serving as the Administrative Officer until May of 2015. LT Montgomery served as the Commanding Officer from May of 2015 until July of 2018. She continues to be a valuable member of the Kentucky Division Staff.  She has had three children enrolled in the program (two graduated and one current).  She is employed at Asbury University in the Cross-Cultural and Provost Offices.

LTJG Brenda Cabrera, NSCC

Ensign Cabrera joined the Sea Cadet program with the Hurricane Division in Tennessee in May 2016 along with her son Diego. They both transferred to the Kentucky Division in September of 2017. She works from home as a Remote Video Interpreter in the mornings; and as the evening interpreter for the Emergency Department in UK Chandler Hospital.    She is originally from Puerto Rico, married with three children.

INST Sarah Clark, NSCC

Auxilliary Staff

Instructor Clark joined the Kentucky Division as the 5th member of her family to be involved with the unit. INST Clark is a paramedic and the EMS program director at EMTPKY in Lexington. She is currently an auxiliary staff member, helping out when needed.
