Welcome to Petty Officer Leadership Academy. The purpose of POLA is to prepare the future leaders within the USNSCC to step into the role. Throughout the training you'll have the opportunity to step into leadership roles from teaching practical skills and theory lessons to leading your team though scenarios in the field. You will leave training ready to put the necessary skills to work when you return to your home unit or staff another training.

CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program, conceived by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire high school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. Cadets will get an introduction into the basics of configuring and securing Microsoft Windows and Linux servers as well as basic Cisco networking configurations. They will learn how to setup a basic computer network along with learning how to secure that network against cyber-attack.
Building a SeaPerch ROV teaches basic skills in ship and submarine design and encourages students to explore naval architecture and marine and ocean engineering concepts. Included in the class curriculum are instruction in basic science and engineering concepts, tool safety and technical procedures. Cadets will learn important technical and design skills and in the process get an introduction to the exciting careers that are possible in naval architecture and naval, ocean, and marine engineering. This hands-on SeaPerch experience thus becomes a gateway to further study and careers in robotics, electronics, marine sciences and more.
