A word from the Commanding Officer -

"It is with great pride that I welcome you to the website of the Kentucky Division of the
US Naval Sea Cadet Corps in Lexington, Kentucky.

On behalf of my cadets and staff, I would like to take this moment to express the excitement and anticipation as this unit will grow as time passes. In the heart of Kentucky, the unit is geographically and strategically located to provide opportunities and a bright future to hundreds, if not thousands of prospective cadets, officers and instructors that participate in this program.

Kentucky Division is among the first of it's kind in the United States to offer training with not only Navy personnel and teachings, but also that of the United States Marine Corps, Army and reservists in this region. This teamwork allows the cadets to receive a wide variety of training opportunities and experience that few other teens in the nation have available to them.

Our mission is to provide the cadets with the knowledge and tools needed to make an educated decision about military service when the time comes. We do not require enlistment upon high school graduation, but offer fantastic incentive for those who wish to follow this path.

I can think of no better way to serve my country than to prepare, train, teach and mentor those who will eventually take their places in the future and lead our nation onward as the greatest nation in the world.

Feel free to contact me or any member of my staff with any questions, comments or concerns you may have, and rest assured that we take communications very seriously. We're here to help make this world a better, safer place to live by our teachings and doctrine. We're here to help keep American youth away from drugs, crime and gangs. We're here...for the cadets."
